Appraisals offer managers the opportunity to reflect on the performance of their team members, gather useful information from them and set objectives. An effective appraisal process provides the foundation for a successful organisation, so it is vital that managers understand how to use this opportunity to its best effect.
The programme will enable you to examine your process and paperwork
as well as the behavioural and attitudinal skills needed to
appraise another team member. We will also explore the roles
of the appraiser and the appraisee.
The programme covers:
Appraisal preparation -
roles and responsibilities |
| |
Self assessment |
| |
Setting objectives |
| |
The review - setting the
scene |
Social styles and behaviours - the social styles matrix |
| |
Feedback |
| |
Personal development plans |
| |
The paperwork |
| |
| This programme template is designed
to accommodate the processes of each organisation. The
fundamentals of successful appraisal processes can be
delivered to both appraisers and appraisees. Ideally the
programme is two days for managers and one-day for appraisees. |
